The God of Small Things

One of my favourite book.
By one Miss Arundhati Roy.
Tears into the reality of things, cutting crap out of its way.
An honest writing, and of the catchi-est line in it:

"They traversed into forbidden territories, and tempered with laws that laid down, who should be loved and how. And how much"

Along the way, all of us commited this crime, one way or another.
By losing our list of precedence.
Who or what precedes what and who?

It is a job for Him alone.
To be keeping one vigilant on their own list of precedence is a job for Him alone.
And by that, Glory be to Him alone!

May He keep us amongst those that understands this list well.
Ameen.

The Misfits!

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The trouble-makers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them.
But the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.

And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world.
Are the ones who do!

I wish!

Sometimes.
I wish I could speak a different language apart from 'my-mind'!

The Economic Revolution of the Gold Dinar by Dr. Umar Vadillo

Bismillahirrahmannirrahim.

My apology to those that has been waiting for an update. It has been abit hectic.
By His grace, the response to the talk has been overwhelming!
So many out there that are thirsty for a divine solution, and they're the one that's leading our effort!
With little marketing, demand is high!!
InsyAllah, it is He alone that leads or impedes, and it is His guidance alone that we seek.
I request that those reading this blog keep us in their prayers.

The talk began with a beautiful introduction by my dear friend, S.
Who spoke for M and I and Muslims in the world.
She brought out our two posters on the projector, and it just touch everyone's nerves!!
The horrible Zimbabwean bill and the poor little child scavenging through crumbles on the street!
She then said, "This is the effect of paper money!! And I left Japan, my mother and my father, and the comfort of home to learn how did we end up here?".
And she spoke for M. For what they did to his country. His rich rich country!
And she called on Prof Umar who took it from where she left.

With a beautiful opening of a Quranic verse, he then began.
That if one do not understand the Islamic Gold Dinar, then one should find that he is the one flawed, as oppose to the Shari'ah.
And he suggest one does what Mawlana Rumi suggests, that one hits one's head against the wall until one understands.
For Islam has been perfected. And it is perfect.
And all other things need to conform to it, and not otherwise.
And to get out of Riba is so possible and simple, that it perplexes.
And one will not see it through his mind and logic, but through the heart.
Through believe first!
Then you'd see it manifest that it is the only way to go!
The only scientific way to go, the only fair way to go.

The man then went on to quote some of the unfair things that has been said concerning Dinar.
That it is an expensive solution.
He argues, of course the Dinar is expensive...for THEM!
From where we are, nothing is more expensive than the USD.
It has cost us the very soil you and I stand on, and we have no more things to loose.
And in that alone lies power!
They have a flight of 40 story building to fall through, we're already on ground zero!
Things could only get better, or remain as it is.

He then related a domestic story of his household.
That in the board game of Monopoly, you could never win against a player that has the right to be printing money!
He could always get all our lands!!
All of it, just give it time!!
And the world has cooked up an enourmous body of literature to be justifying what it essentially does, through a body known as economy.
Economy and its jargons and its crap.

He then question the audience, exactly how does the GNP reflect the society?
When I sell you Microsoft's share for 100, and you sell it back to me for 120 and it goes on and on amassing millions of dollars from the board, have we thorugh this process added a single service or product?
And if we have not, then we have only speculated!
Thus the birth of 2 economy (ironic enough, even by their measures): the speculative and the real.
And the size of the speculative have grown to an enourmous rate with the real economy panting to catch up!
Panting through the sweat of the Indonesian and Bangladeshis.
Panting through you and I!!
And you have inflation that keeps on reducing what our sweat buys us!

As oppose to the divine Dinar economy.
Whereby, the price of chicken in the prophet s.a.w's age is the SAME as it is today!!
1400 years later!!

And that, we should shake away our fears.
Fro nothing happens without His grace, and His grace is all that we need.

La hawla walaa quwwata illa billahhil 'aliyyil 'azim.

May Allah continue to proliferate and ease our journey in establishing the Dinar economy in the university.
For it aims at showing the various communities that Islam has a model.
And it is the one that has been laid down by the glorified Muhammad s.a.w.
Who then went on to say, "My brothers are those that will love me without ever having seen me".
And may Allah keep us on a path that leads to this!

Ameen.

Chivalry!

We pray to belong here:

“They were YOUNG men who had Iman in their Lord and We increased them in guidance.”
Al-Kahf, 13

Today, as we (S, M and I) were having lunch, discussing final prep for tomorrow's big day,
2 Indonesian workers came around us,
We had a few Dirham coins lying on the table,
When they butt in (which is a good thing btw)

"Apeni, Dik?"

An avenue I thought!
To promote the coins.
To which I replied, "Inilah duit makcik!!"

One of them look puzzled, the younger one, "Duit??"

The elder among them startled me,
"Ye, betul!! Dulu duit memang macam ni lahh! Perak ke ni Dik?"

And I told her, "Ye, Perak makcik...Dirham namanya! Inilah duit dalam Islam makcik"

I took two pieces, handed one to each of them.
And I felt great to be putting power back into their small hands, that tirelessly scrubed our table.

I told them to never trade their wealth, unless its for wealth!
And values for values!

"Ni Perak Makcik, takkan pernah sama dengan kertas, tak kire laaa kaler ape sekali pun"

They smiled, "InsyAllah"!

INVITATION!

Second Handbill

The above handbill is the second that will spread in the campus, insyAllah.
With it, we aim to educate the public of some of the effect of paper money.
One of it being poverty.
The second handbill will be spread out in accordance with an event that will be held in the uni.
Those interested are cordially welcomed.

May the effort be one that He blesses, for it is only His blessings that we seek to attain.
Ameen.

So, hope to see you there ;)
