Found this to be shared, about checking oneself of a 'mustard seed' of pride:
"True devotion is to loose the faculty of being conscious of one's devotion; for one who identifies devotion in his devotion, is a person whose devotion is in need of a devotion!"
Read it carefully and you'd find it addressing a very narrow little spot in your heart, just when you thought you've perfected it and rid it off vanity, vanity seeps in!
May Allah protect us from this insidious evil, ameen.

ReplyDeletepride is a disease of the heart. i fear this the most, pride=hidden shirk, nauzubillah.
"like a black ant walking on a black rock on a dark moonless night".
may Allah place the light of Ikhlas in our heart. may He forgive our shortcomings and bless us with His barakah and mercy.
